RE: Armed Robbery
Early this morning, at 2:26 a.m., two UNCW commuter students were robbed at gunpoint while walking near Morton Hall. The suspect fled the scene. Thanks to the quick response of witnesses, who called 911 and pursued the suspect, he was apprehended within minutes near the clock tower. The gun, an airpowered BB pistol, was located at the scene.The victims were unharmed. The suspect is under arrest. Because of the quick apprehension of the suspect, the campus community was not in danger, and a UNCWAlert was not warranted.
