About this Chapter
More than 7,500 UNCW alumni live in the Triangle Area. This includes Wake, Chatam, Lee, Harnett, Johnson, Caswell, Nash, Franklin, Vance, Warren, Granville, Orange, Johnson, Durham, Cumberland and Person counties.
As a valued member of the Alumni Association, each person in this area is a part of the chapter. The group offers ways for alumni to network and share Seahawk Spirit with others in their area.

Fall Dinner 2013 More than 150 alumni, faculty and staff mingled and shared stories about their student experiences and life after graduation. Following the networking reception and dinner, Brad Barbour '02, '03M, Triangle Alumni Chapter President, greeted the crowd and spoke about what's ahead for the chapter. Chancellor Miller also addressed the group, sharing the achievements of our newest generation of Seahawks and what's happening on campus. Check out photos!
Durham Bulls Alumni Picnic 2013- Seahawk fans of all ages packed the party deck at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park on Thursday, August 8 for the Triangle Chapter's annual Alumni Picnic. Nearly 250 were in attendance to enjoy the game, picnic and score some fun raffle prizes. Check out photos!
Spring Mixer 2013 Close to 130 alumni met at Sparians, an upscale bowling bistro in Raleigh, to enjoy the 2013 Annual Spring Mixer. Alumni from the classes of 1961 – 2012 along with and friends and family enjoyed complimentary appetizers, bowling and ping pong - not to mention each other’s company. Fall Dinner 2012 Alumni enjoyed a wonderful night reconnecting with 100 fellow Seahawks on November 8 at the Prestonwood Country Club in Cary, NC. Guests enjoyed a networking reception followed by dinner and dessert where they got a chance to meet and hear from keynote speaker, Chancellor Gary L. Miller. The Triangle Area Alumni Chapter's president, Brad Barbour '02,'03M, shared the strategic goals of the chapter and what to events to look out for in the next year. Take a look at photos!
Durham Bulls Picnic 2012 More than 200 Seahawks packed the first base party deck for the Triangle Alumni Chapter's annual Durham Bulls Picnic on Wednesday, August 8. Food was served right of the grill and the drinks were flowing while guests watched the game from the best seats in the stadium. The fun continued sumo-style as two alumni battled it out on the field between the 6th and 7th innings. Three alumni also scored some incredible door prizes filled with assorted UNCW apparel and goodies. Take a look at photos!
Spring Mixer 2012 This year's Triangle Spring Mixer took a new spin. 130 alumni and friends met at Sparians Bowling Boutique and Bistro on Thursday, April 26, 2012. The group enjoyed complimentary appetizers, free bowling, corn hole and ping pong – not to mention each other's company. This was the largest Spring Mixer that the Triangle Chapter has ever hosted with alumni from all ages! There were alumni from the class of 1968 all the way through 2011. Take a look at photos!
Fall Dinner 2011 Alumni in the Triangle were thrilled to welcome Chancellor Miller and Mrs. Georgia Miller at the Prestonwood Country Club in Cary on Wednesday, November 9.
