About this Chapter
The Communication Studies Alumni Chapter strives to connect alumni and friends with UNCW by providing networking, reunion and student mentoring opportunities. Everyone who has graduated from the Communication Studies Department is considered a member of the Alumni Chapter.
The COM Studies Department also looks to alumni who are working professionally in the Communication field to serve as mentors to current students through the Project Protege program.

Highlights from the WECT Sounds of Summer Concert
with the Schoolboys
The Schoolboys, UNCW's unofficial faculty rock band, took the stage at Wrightsville Beach Park on Thursday, July 31 for the WECT Sounds of Summer Concert series. The band played soulful renditions from some of the best good-time music in rock n' roll. The band featured Bill Bolduc, Bill DiNome, James Hunt, Rick Olsen and Frank Trimble.

Communication Studies alumni gathered on February 16, in Leutze Hall, for a reception as part of UNCW’s Homecoming 2013 celebration. Attendees enjoyed an afternoon catching up with former classmates, friends and faculty. Everyone was glad to be back on campus in the company of one another again. Check out photos!
A great time was had by all who attended the Communication Studies Department’s (COM Studies) Alumni Reception on Saturday, February 4. Communication Studies Homecoming Alumni Brunch 2011
In celebration of UNCW Homecoming 2011, on Saturday, February 19, the Communication Studies Department (COM Studies) and UNCW Alumni Association hosted a brunch in Leutze Hall for COM Studies graduates.
