Alumni Homecoming TEALgate Close to 500 alumni and friends met under the big tent to celebrate the Homecoming TEALgate on Saturday, February 4. Seahawk spirit was in full swing- and luckily the weather held out! Lunch, drinks, music and giveaways were used to raise spirits and conjure up some Seahawk pride. Take a look at photos!

Alumni After Work- Fall Edition 2011 More than 100 alumni and friends joined the Cape Fear Area Alumni Chapter at Dockside on Thursday, September 8 for the seasonal networking social. Guests enjoyed delicious complimentary appetizers, awesome raffle prizes and meeting fellow alumni from the area. Take a look at photos!

Alumni After Work- Summer Edition 2011 Sunny evenings make for a great Alumni After Work! Over 100 alumni from the Cape Fear Area Alumni Chapter gathered on Thursday, July 14 for their summertime Alumni After Work. Alumni mingled and caught up over appetizers donated by Dockside Restaurant. There were also two special guests at the event – Chancellor Miller and his wife Georgia, dropped by to meet local alumni. The UNCW Alumni Association raffled off many prizes, including a handful of t-shirts donated by CapeFear Sportswear to lucky alumni in the crowd. Check out photos from the event!

Alumni After Work- Spring Edition 2011 Close to 100 alumni attended the Cape Fear Chapter Alumni After Work- Spring Edition. With the weather warming up, alumni were just itching to get out on the water at Dockside Restaurant & Marina. Guests enjoyed each other's company as they ate appetizers generously donated by Dockside. Raffle items were provided by the UNCW Alumni Association and Cape Fear Sportswear. Take a look at photos!

TEALgate 2010 Close to 70 alumni and friends attended TEALgate 2010 before our UNCW Seahawks took on Morehead State in men's basketball. It was a beautiful night and Seahawks from across the area trekked to the tent outside of Trask Coliseum to celebrate the beginning of basketball season! New UNCW Athletics Director Jimmy Bass mingled with the crowd and was welcomed into the Seahawk Alumni Family. Jimmy then addressed the crowd about the future of UNCW athletics. As game time grew closer, Seahawk alumni enjoyed cook out items along with wine, beer and hot chocolate. After the event, alumni and friends raced into Trask to catch the start of the men's basketball game. UNCW emerged victorious as it came down to a last minute shot. A great night for UNCW Seahawk Alumni!

Alumni After Work- Fall Edition Close to 100 Seahawks gathered at Dockside on Thursday, September 23 for the first hours of the new season at the Alumni After Work Fall Edition. The skies were blue (almost TEAL), the sun was shining and Alumni were chirping away as they reconnected over complimentary appetizers provided by Dockside and sipped on drinks. Ken Dieppa '09M and Gayle Hayes Woodcock '89 gave away a plethora of raffle gifts including tickets to upcoming alumni events. Special guest, Katie White '09 joined the group as author of the children's book "Hello, Sammy C. Hawk". One of her books was also entered in the raffle. Take a look at photos!

Alumni After Work- Summer Edition On Thursday, July 29, a record breaking 132 alumni and friends gathered at Dockside for the Cape Fear Chapter's seasonal Alumni After Work. The weather was a bit daunting at first, but cleared for blue skies and even a rainbow! Many re-connected with former classmates and fellow alumni while sipping on cool drinks and sporting their new UNCW Alumni koozies. Dockside generously provided appetizers for the crowd throughout the evening. Take a look at photos!

Grand Slam Jam Over 115 Seahawks gathered at the 2010 Grand Slam Jam on Tuesday, April 13. Guests were greeted on the party deck by sunny weather, great food, and Sammy C. Hawk! Alumni and friends enjoyed a cookout courtesy of Dave Wishon and Parchies - including hotdogs, chips and all the fixins! Thirst was quenched by Bill Rhodes '79 & RA Jeffreys beverage donation. Amidst all of the excitement, Men's Baseball Coach Mark Scalf chatted with fans about the season and the upcoming game. At 6:00 p.m., the first pitch was thrown by Ed Vosnock '71 - a perfect kickoff to a great 4-3 win against Charleston Southern. Take a look at photos!

Alumni After Work- Spring Edition 5.27.10 The Cape Fear Area Alumni Chapter hosted 70 alumni and friends at Dockside Restaurant & Marina for the Alumni After Work Spring Edition. Alumni enjoyed complimentary appetizers provided by Dockside Restaurant & Marina while sipping on cocktails and overlooking the water on a sunny 80 degree day. Cape Fear Alumni Chapter President, Ken Dieppa '09M, handed out raffle prizes including a Sammy C. Hawk Golf Club Head Cover, UNCW Monogrammed Key Chains, UNCW Water Bottles, and 2 tickets to the upcoming CSB Alumni Speaker Series. As the sun set over the water, our Seahawks stayed perched until late into the evening! Check out the photos!
