Mr. H. David Swain
Mr. H. David Swain, a resident of Wilmington, N.C., was appointed by the UNC Board of Governors to a term ending in 2015. He serves as a member of the Audit Committee, the Educational Planning and Programs Committee and the External Affairs Committee. He served as chair of the 2010 UNCW Athletic Director’s Search Committee.
A native of Walkertown, N.C., Mr. Swain is CEO of Swain and Associates, an investment development company in Wilmington, N.C.
Swain holds a degree in business administration from UNC Chapel Hill.
His community involvement includes St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Boy Scouts of America, the Red Cross and the Surry Arts Council. His board service includes the UNC Chapel Hill Board of Visitors, UNCW Cameron School of Business Executive Advisory Board, UNCW Board of Visitors and the UNCW Endowment Board.
