UNCW Presents 2015/16 Season

UNCW's new Office of the Arts is thrilled to announce our 2015/16 season. Once again, Kenan Auditorium and Wilmington will play host to an array of extraordinary artists, representing a wide range of expertise. We are particularly excited about the collaborative nature of this year's season as well as its diversity of perspectives and art forms. We look forward to seeing you in the theater!

The season kicks off with bluegrass music legend Ricky Skaggs. The 14-time GRAMMY(R) Award-winner is a master of the mandolin and has been topping the charts for decades.

Known for performing since the Holy Roman Empire, the Vienna Boys Choir is beloved around the world for its arrangements of Lehar, Lanner and Strauss in addition to the choir’s original works.

Known for his work in Oceans 13, The Girl With A Dragon Tattoo, and Dexter, Julian Sands began collaborating in 2005 with Nobel Prize winning playwright and poet Harold Pinter to create this humorous and fascinating one-man show about Pinter's life, directed by John Malkovitch.

In Emergency, Beaty portrays 40 characters reacting to a slave ship emerging in front of the Statue of Liberty. Through each individual’s response, he weaves a stirring commentary on what it is to be human and the longing to be free.
