UNCW Swain Center Invites Working Professionals to Pick Up the 'PACE' of Their Careers with Programs, Events
Wednesday, September 04, 2013
The UNCW Swain Center is teaming up with the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce to host a BizMix, 5:30-7:30 p.m., Sept. 12, at the Computer Information Systems Building on campus. The event is free, but registration is required.
The BizMix will mark the launch of the center’s Professional and Continuing Education (PACE) program, which helps organizations build high-performing work teams by identifying and leveraging the talent from within. PACE’s training and certificate programs can be customized to help working professionals focus on innovation and improve efficiency.
“We look forward to working with the Chamber to introduce the Wilmington business community to PACE,” said Dr. Rebecca Porterfield, director of the Swain Center and Associate Dean of the Cameron School of Business. “With these courses, our faculty experts will empower individuals and organizations to pick up the ‘pace’ of their success by tailoring instruction to their professional goals.”
The Swain Center for Business and Economic Services provides professional development courses at UNCW for the public, serves as the business research and outreach division for the Cameron School of Business, and analyzes local, state and national economic data that impact our region and its growth.
