Our center is an inclusive space that supports Asian American and Pacific Islander students’ engagement with the university and facilitates cross-cultural relationships across campus and in the community.
Our Goals
To support and build a more inclusive and welcoming student community, which encourages the celebration of diversity on campus.
To provide academic support for our students through academic advising, mentoring, academic and service referrals, and academic liaison and advocacy services as they pursue their undergraduate and graduate degrees at UNCW.
To listen to and support the needs of students to assist in adapting to the changing local and international environment in which learning takes place.
Facilities
The AHCC strives for a comfortable space for students to be engaged in and carry out wide a variety of cultural activities. The room currently houses the following equipment:
A small conference table
Two computer workstations for university internet access
Color printer for student use
Whiteboard for student collaborative work
Sitting area with a large screen monitor with virtual meeting capabilities for special events and student gatherings
Student resource area containing a wide array of books and other Asian cultural items

The Asian Heritage Cultural Center is in Fisher University Union Room 1002, across from the Passport Office.
